During this week Timothy and I made a short power point presentation on the major idea on what our project is going to be on. Timothy came over to my house and we got to work. We start with just our general idea of informing people the dangerous of having whales in captivity at Sea World. Our next slide was on our goals, which is to raise awareness, and post our videos on popular sites such as Facebook and YouTube. Our finally slide was on three examples of Whale attacks on three different victims and one ended in a death. During our presentation i felt everyone was very surprised of the things they have not know and very interested to learn more. I can not wait to present our finally project in June and see everyone's faces on the facts they will learn.

Hell week

This week is what I'm going to call hell week. Timothy and I are going to start composing a short presentation of our video. Its hard to fix little clips without giving the whole affect away. I feel so strongly of whales being in captivity but its hard doing all this researching and reading of the pains of the families affected by these whales. It was painful enough to just watch the movie "Black Fish", then to think of doing research and maybe finding blogs it just going to break my heart. My fear is I'm going to get to caught up and completely over load this project and it falling apart. Or even being to scared of what i am going to find out next and not want to continue. This is something i want changed, but i didn't expect it to effect me as much as it is.

This week i was hooked on YouTube for about two hours. I searched up "whale attacks at Sea World" and many different incidents came up. I was very skeptical at first if it was even humane for me to be looking up these videos, yet alone watching them. Even though my concusses was telling me other wise I clicked on my first video. It was of course at Sea World and it was some time in the middle of the Shamu show. As i was watching everything seemed normal i didn't see anything wrong a curing until you see a very big splash and two hands waving in the air as a ten-thousand pound killer whale is dragging its trainer down to the bottom of the tank. You see the whale at the bottom for, what seemed like, a long period of time. Finally the whales appears at the top of the tank  with the males foot in its mouth. The trainer is out of breath but is very calm. He pets the whale very softy and talks to it. The whale tons him for about six very long minutes. The killer whale will take the trainer under water for five seconds numerous times. Of course never letting go of the trainers foot. After a while the whale lets go and the trainer stays there and pets the whale all the way down to its tale then swims as fast as he can to the platform and the end of the pool, where finally appears his broken foot. I was in complete tears after watching this, yet along all the others I watched after. This was a complete motivation to do 100% on my project and spread the word of this as much to my ability.
